I grew up in a very small town in Western Canada and never heard about drum corps until I was too old to participate. It was one of my few regrets.
My oldest daughter made the Blue Knights trumpet line last year, just after she turned 17, and spent the summer telling me what an amazing experience it was performing with drum corps. When I told her how much I regretted not being able to do something similar at her age, she told me there were all-age corps and I should join one.
The Renegades bowling team are 2011 League Champions.
With a final Record of 29-16, The Renegades beat out 14 other teams for the title tonight by coming back from 2nd place and winning tonight 4-1.
The Renegades sports a younger look this season, with a whopping 14 members under 18, who we lovingly dub the Rene-Babies. We asked several of them to share with us how they joined the Renegades. Here are a few of their responses:
The San Francisco Renegades, the official drum corps of the city of San Francisco and nine-time Drum Corps Associates (DCA) finalist, have announced their staff and show title. New CEO Jeff Pearson and Corps Director Lolita Tabujara are heading up an instructional staff with decades of combined experience and numerous world championships to its credit.

I First heard of the Renegades in the winter or 2003. I was auditioning for my high schools winter percussion ensemble and i was hoping to make snare (as it was, I was probably going to be put on 3rd or 4th bass). Well my percussion instructor (Chris Rodriquez, who played tenors for Renegades) said he’d make a deal with me.
