Prelims Morning!!

Prelims Morning!!

Well Folks, this is it!!

We finished our final full rehearsal day of the year yesterday. Today, we awake to a new adventure … DCA Competition. We have worked towards this for months and months, and now it seems like it’s going too fast.

A few more hours, and we’ll be on the field … infront of all of you fine folks in the stands … presenting our 2007 show to all of you who are in for quite a treat!

One request I ask from you … If you like it – scream your freakin’ head off!!! :)

See ya on the field.

Long Day … Bigger One Tomorrow

Well heres to the end of DCA friday. We had two four hour blocks today for rehearsal that went extremly well. Star united mini-corps showed up for the last chunk of ensemble, including the runthough. Like I said yesterday, giving us more chances to perform is what we really need. They were a great crowd this afternoon, and because of that we had by far our best run of the show to date.

I and E was a blast tonight as well. Here is a quick recap (if I can remember them all)

Dave Landers on Baritone took SEVENth!
Anthrax Ripple actually took 2nd in Percussion Ensemble.
Taking the gold in percussion ensemble was LOAF (tenor line)
Taking gold for Mallet ensemble was the Renegades Pit
And the mini-corps took 2nd place to Star United.

So as you can see, very succesful year for the corps at I and E, 2 golds, 2 silvers, and of course…a SEVEN!

Well…very very long and IMPORTANT day tomorrow. So im headin to bed.

312 out.

ROMULINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Should Go to Bed

Well, Its getting ready to strike 1 am on the clock here in Rochacha, and im going to “hit the sack” here in a few minutes.

Rehearsal went pretty well today. I think its probibly safe to say that it was the best thursday rehearsal we have had. Normally we roll into rehearsal, everyone is still moaning about the long flight, bad airplane food, or how they had to wait 7 hours to get their luggage. But today seemed a little different.

The bus pulled up, everyone helped unload the truck, and we started to warm up. The vibe was pretty good, A lot of people came out to watch us rehearse, im guessing close to 30. So that really gave us more of a chance to perform. I think the run though was actually pretty darn good. There was a lot of energy, nothing major fell apart, and people loved it…thats all that matters really.

Following rehearsal, we jumped back on the bus, and headed back to our home for the next 4 days at the Clarion. Luckily we have a resturaunt/bar in the hotel, so we headed there. Service was a little slow, not sure if they knew what was really comming this weekend. James turned Hulk for a minute because his cheese fries were a solid mass of potatoe and cheese. No goooey factor whatsoever.

After that everyone pretty much split to either mini-corps or Anthrax ripple rehearsal, and a few of us ended our night over a beer, talking about pretty irish girls in prague.

Well I guess thats it…im tired.

Peace out from room 312.

KKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are here!

So everyone is starting to pile into the hotel here in downtown Rochacha, and getting ready for rehearsal in little over an hour.

We have wireless here in the rooms, so you should see a few people getting on here to let you guys in on whats going on.

Well this is the Bass line room checkin in. We’ll chat at ya after rehearsal.

The Trilogy DVD – Now Available

In 2003, the San Francisco Renegades performed Red Skies at Night: Midnight in the Stadium of Good and Evil, a show about the universal conflict between Good and Evil.

From the opening fanfare, Red Skies at Night both shocked and stunned the crowd at the 2003 DCA World Championships. Overnight, the Renegades became one of the most popular and elite Drum Corps in the world.

In 2004, the Renegades epic battle of Good and Evil continued with the production of Goodbye Blue Skies: The Triumph of Evil. The 2004 Renegades featured one of the most talented hornlines in drum corps history, exotic percussion instruments and an evil color guard that remains controversial to this day. Twice during the 2004 season, the Renegades received no less than six standing ovations in one performance.

In 2005, the Renegades design team (Chris Nalls, Lee Rudnicki, Ed Teleky and Dave Watrous), completed the Trilogy with the brilliant and breathtaking production of Days of Future Past: The Beginning. In stark contrast to the musical onslaught that began the other shows in the trilogy, the Renegades’ 2005 production began with a pristine and angelic vision of the universe before Evil was introduced, told through the beautiful music of Ave Maria.

Now, for the first time, enjoy the Renegades Trilogy in the order it was meant to be seen.
