For the first time, all eight of the SF Renegades’ electric DCA performances have been collected in one CD set. From the first appearance in 2002, the Trilogy years, up through the amazing 2009 show, enjoy them all.
Loud has never been so good.
Congratulations to new Renegade parents Trevor Terrill and Chelsea Strong on the deliverance of their healthy baby girl, Delaney!

What a fun weekend! And what a turn out of members, past and present! The Renegades 2010 season opens like solar flares with a bang, hosting their Open House in San Jose, CA last weekend.
With a staff roster loaded with rock stars of drum corps history pushing the Renegades harder than they have ever been pushed before, the corps jet sets their way into one of the best years they’ve ever had. Music orbiting this year’s repertoire include (but not limited to) Mars and Thus Spoke Zarathustra. Both charts were sight-read at Open House along with this year’s Chinese New Year Parade’s tune, Eye of The Tiger.
Recruitment is working in proper motion (in full force), and they want you! All sections still have room for super star astronauts. Don’t miss out on booking your ticket to Renegade Planet!
With the countdown to open house only 11 days away, we thought it might be nice to throw you returning, and potential new drummers a musical bone.
Your 2010 percussion packets have arrived! Please click on the appropriate section link below to download your very own PDF version of the 2010 warm up book.

Kevin Murray, 2-time individual champion and instructor for Blue Devils and Vanguard, has been named Chief Drum Technician with the San Francisco Renegades Drum & Bugle Corps. “I am excited to work with the Renegades to help them achieve their goal of advancing as players and competitors,” said Murray about the new position.
Kevin has a long history of success in drum corps. His playing career started on snare drum with the Velvet Knights in 1984 where the corps made its first top-12 DCI Finals appearance.
From 1986 to 1988, Kevin played snare drum for the Concord Blue Devils, winning the DCI championship and high percussion in 1986. Kevin won snare individuals in 1987 (winning on his first attempt at competing, an unprecedented feat up to that point) and became section leader in 1988.
From 1990-91, Kevin attended the University of North Texas where the drumline won consecutive P.A.S.I.C. drum titles, with Kevin winning the snare individual championship in 1990 and serving as section leader in 1991.
As an instructor, Kevin taught Blue Knights in 1991 under Ralph Hardimon, Santa Clara Vanguard from 1992-93 under Scott Johnson, and continued on to Blue Devils when Johnson made the change in 1994. The Blue Devils started a dominant run at that time, winning drums and corps titles in 1994, 1996 and 1997.
Kevin authored one of the most popular 60-second warm ups of all time: “The Ditty,” and was instrumental in developing the drumming technique and approach employed by many drum lines since 1994. Kevin also has had a successful career playing drum-set, playing with popular bands in the LA and SF Bay Area.
