The Stewart
Tartan Pipes and Drums was formed in San Francisco in January 1980. Its
current membership of 20 boasts well over 200 years of combined piping and drumming
experience with most of the leading Bay Area pipe bands over the last 30 years,
as well as championship performances at major Highland Games.
Their repertoire extends the full range from quicksteps and marches, through
polkas and waltzes, to the stately slow marches. We emphasize the traditional
pipe music and try to include some interesting, less well-known tunes together
with the popular standards.
