One of the many highlights of DCA weekend was retreat, where all top 12 corps entered the field at once. Unbeknownst to many of the Renegades (who are used to Junior corps retreats where you don't even flinch when you win), DCA Retreat is a huge party - complete with beach balls, lawn chairs and Sumo wrestling!

Betsy Johnson was this season's undisputed Mistress of Mischief.

Third Baritones bask in Retreat.

Chris trills during the incredible after show concert-in-the-mud with the CorpsVets.

We DCA now!

Renegades Honor Guard in full glory.

Sops never looked so evil.

"Renegades, you guys are a class act. I had met a few of you online, and it was great to meet you face to face... I had a terrific weekend, but short of meeting my significant other, that standstill after finals was the high spot of my short drum corps career.  I can't tell you how it made me feel during our mud run through to look up at you guys and see 4 or 5 sops held high in the air with the cheers coming at us. I hope we showed the same gratitude and respect back to you.  Thanks, to all of you."

CorpsVets Soprano 2002

The corps focuses before entering the field with a mental runthru of the show.

Hey, you guys are absolutely outrageous! LOVED YOUR SHOW! The most outrageous thing I've seen since the Bridgemen!

The Renegades snare line - Carlos Almeida, Al "Choppr" Chan, Scott Slater, Mike Rogala, Zach and Marvin.

Dave Monachello sports the latest in neon hair as he leads Power Alley onto retreat.

Meiko plays the latest percussion instrument to spring from the fertile mind of Anti-Pit Genius Ed Teleky, this is the first instrument to require cycling instruction.

Marlan coughs up a hairball.

Third Sopranos - Mike Andrews, Patrick Reynolds, Ben Ronick, Carol Smith and Jed Roach at retreat.

"Just got back home from Scranton and all I can say about the Renegades is WOW - LOUD IS GOOD - hope to see you again next year. You guys ripped my face off."

-- Leo Parry

Renegades Contras vie with the Hurricanes for "High Long" coming on the field for retreat.

"This corps BLEW MY FACE OFF!!!!. I haven't heard clean, rawpower (I counted 74 horns) like this in drum corps in many years. Thank you to Renegades for a great show. Listening back to the performance on tape, the best number is Bohemian Rhapsody. I hope you will be back bigger and louder next season!!! By the way, when do your ears stop ringing after hearing your show???"

-- Mikey
