"Wandering through the Colliseum walkways,
I said hi to everyone wearing black, but I forgot that everyone wearing
black was not a Renegade. It was an Oakland Raider game and Renegades were
the featured act for half-time!"
- Marc Thyme.
Renegades showed their Silver & Black at the Raider's season opener,
ending their amazing season of historical significance, controversy, adversity
and excitement. It seemed appropriate that the Renegades end their 2002
drum corps year with this ultimately LOUD realm of chaos in front of 50,000
people!!! |

The game began with a stunning delivery of the American flag. Rumor has
it, the Cymbal Ensemble is already planning this feat for their 2003 DCA
I&E.

Renegades sang loudly with the rest of the crowd during the emotional national
anthem.
Black was the color of the day. The Renegades fit right in. |

Chris rewrites the show on the fly - taking out Bohemian Rhapsody. "Low
Brass go this way, Mellos over here. Lead Sopranos in front."
|

Ryan shows us his evil game face while 50,000 screaming Raider fans await
the half-time festivities. |

The Baritones were thrilled to march on infield dirt once again (none of
that sissy grass for them). Too bad it wasn't as muddy as Scranton.
|

The corps was suprised the DCA judges changed from their blue to yellow/black
stripes. Oh wait. That was last weekend. |

Where's Waldo...'er..Chris? (hint...he's wearing a 7 jersey). |
