November 23/24, 2002. The Renegades held their first camp of the 2003 season. The Brass section learned the first three and a half minutes of music. Percussion solidified the line and added more members and beats. And the guard got to know some of their new staff - learning 77 counts of flagwork. As Contrabass player James shows in the photo above, we're off to a strong start!

Corps Director Chris Nalls brings out the music. The horns learned the intro and Russian Christmas/Ave Maria.

Eri, Matt, Mike and Danny - getting it done!

Intensity shows on the face of one of our new guard members. The Renegades guard, under the direction of Julie Liedtke, Kathy Pearson, Carol Abohatab and Mark Metzger are well on their way to being the corps' most improved section.

Back from his top secret mission to Asia, Jan returns to the Tenor line.

Lead Bari Tony Pon pauses for a moment of reflection.

The snare line is determined to be the best section in the corps this year - holding extra rehearsals is a great way to start.

Look, Ma - no hands!.

The Cymbals in action. They have begun planning for an innovative and devilish 2003 season.

Playing Russian Christams Music at Vanguard Hall was quite a feeling of Deja Vu for those Renegades who were part of the 1987 Vanguard.

New guard member Hayley Tornquist. There's something about a woman with a gun in her hands...

Calvin plays so fast that his mallets weave themselves into fantastic shapes..

Brass Guru Jim McFarland reviews and relaxes with the brass section. Jim comes to the Renegades with experience he gained teaching the Blue Devils, Vanguard and the Bayonne Bridgemen.

Baritone player and sport kite enthusiast Dan Day drops a contribution into the "Change is Good" bottle. Renegades donate their change and we use the proceeds to buy things for the entire group.

The Seven Horn. What is it? What does it mean?

Baritone players Tony, Steve, Anthony and Jim relax at lunch..

Guard members wave to the staff.

Our Third Baritones know how to rehearse! Note the cupholders in the arms of the chair.
