July was only the second month of the Renegades competitive season, but it marked the end of the corps' performances in their home state. The first weekend of the month marked the 7th Anniversary of the Renegades' first field performance and included three, yes THREE performances. The Renegades closed out the CA season late in the month with the unveiling of the "Transformation to Evil" and our first performance of the season under the lights! |

Moonlight Classic - July 1st: The first of our three-show weekend, this performance held a special place in the hearts of the Renegades. Seven years ago, at this very spot, the Renegades entered the field as the first Senior Corps in California ... Oh, how far we've come. Despite it being Africa hot, the corps pushed through and gave the crowd an incredible show, in true Renegade style. |

Pacific Procession - July 2nd: Spartan Stadium is the best place on earth to watch Drum Corps!! The nose-bleed vantage point from upstairs and no track around the field, gives the audience their choice of either the Up-Front, Blast your Face Off Section ... OR the Birds-Eye View Section. The show this evening took the audience by surprise ... and the Renegades had their best performance of the season in this great stadium! |

4th of July Parade - July 4th: For their third parade of the year, and third performance of the weekend, the Renegades headed to Fremont, CA for the "Stars and Stripes Forever - 4th of July Parade." Performing along with the Santa Clara Vanguard and Phantom Regiment, the Renegades were the first drum corps to take the streets. During the standstill portion, the Renegades had the pleasure of waking up the judges with a little "Open Up Wide" - up close and waaaay personal!! |

California State Open - July 16th: This weekend marked the debut of the Renegades' new changes to the show, including the Renegades' own Evil Dresden Drums and the official "Transformation to Evil." Taking the field looking very un-Renegade-like, the corps donned their ethereal white cloaks, adding some visual ambiance to the beautiful chorale of the show's opener, "Ave Maria." |

West Coast Showdown - July 17th: As the sun sets, the Renegades prepare for their one and only performance under the lights in California, and the first chance for the junior corps to actually see first hand what they've been hearing about all summer! Bringing to a close their West Coast competitive season, the Renegades gave it their all, leaving the field to the high-pitched screams of teenagers everywhere, reminiscent of a high school band competition. We love being rock stars!! Special thanks to River City Regiment for the great show site, and SoCal Dream for making such a fun trip up north! |
