April 1st & 2nd - Once again proving to be an "All weather drum corps", the Renegades return to TI for another weekend of music, rain, and DRILL! Very excited to finally get out on the field and start putting the music to drill and working with the guard, everyone was ready for the work ahead and we made a lot of progress.

After a brief warm-up and sectionals, the horn line and drum line dove into the drill while the guard reviewed their work which would soon be added into the drill. Following a long day of hard work, the corps headed over to Chevy's for Saturday evening dinner party.

The corps continued with the drill on Sunday in spite of the rainy conditions. By the end of the weekend, the corps had learned all the drill for Act I of Part I and moved onto cleaning of drill and music. As the rain grew steadier, the corps arched up for one final musical run of the rest of the show after a run of the newly learned opening drill. Mission accomplished!

Everyone was very excited to have the guard finally join us!

Look Ma... Drill! Woo Hoo!

Soprano sectional Round #2 ... after relocation for being too loud.

Bag-o-beats!

Lung-o-LOUD!

The pit takes up residence under the canopies so generously provided by the horn line who is out marching in the rain.

The camp ended with a run of the new drill including horns, drums, and guard! (oh... and rain)

April 22nd & 23rd - With the sun shining and finally no rain, the corps continued to refine the music and add in the drill. After being kicked out of yet another part of the island, before even starting, the horns had music time with Jim, a little sectional time, and then it was off to the field with Mac to learn the drum solo drill. Once again everyone stepped up to the plate and gave it their all. What a great camp!

The contras head off to sections to work on perfecting the contra solo in preparation for defending their "Best Contra Line" title at DCA.

The guard meanwhile finds a nice sunny patch of grass to work on their flag routine.

The drum line continued to work on the drum solo parts for the opener which are going to be set to drill later in the day.

The horns and drums get together to work on the drill for the drum solo section.

Gordon makes a quick trip to the souvie booth for some new Renegade gear!

Finishing off the weekend, everyone dives into a full run of all the drill we've learned thus far.
