May Camp #1 (6th & 7th): It was a beautiful weekend to be back on the island and despite weather conditions the corps was ready to get to work. The focus of this camp was drill, drill, and more drill. After a brief warm up, Mac stepped up to the plate. It was onto the opener drum solo drill. The morning was spent with each section learning the new drill separately and the afternoon was spend putting it all together. This show is definitely coming together and what a show its going to be!
Jim gets some time to work with the hornline working to clean and perfect the music while the other groups learn drill.
Murray works with the drum line on the opener drum solo which will be put to drill later in the day.
While the guard, horns, and drum line are off learning drill the pit continues perfect the music.
Mac preps the corps for the warp speed drill session ahead of them.

Drill Round #2
Drill Round #3: Finishing up the weekend with a complete run of the opener, on the field with drill... this weekend the corps made a lot of progress getting the music onto the field.
May Camp #2 (20th & 21st): It was back to the island for more drill and music... and rain this time around. The corps started off the weekend reviewing all the drill they learned last camp for the opener drum solo before moving onto finish the opener drill. Sunday brought the drill for first part of our ballad, Stairway to Heaven, which corps learn in the rain. Gotta love soggy drill charts. To round off the weekend, in between learning drill the horns and drums worked on music for Toccata while the guard continues to learn more work for the opener. Overall it was a great weekend for corps having now finished the opener, complete with horn, drums, and guard... and done a complete on field run.
Mark works with the pit on new parts for Toccata.
The guard continues to learn more work soon to be put on the field.
The contra line is in prime placement right up front... Yeah baby Yeah!
Paul Marr helps out the bass line with the new music for the Toccata drum solo.
"Hey Ben you seem a bit far away, is that you drill spot?"... "Yep, 12 down from the hash and 3 step inside Guard-land."
Unbeknownst to most of us, this weekend was the first annual Renegades Hot-Pink BMX competition.
Mac call the corps back onto the field to learn new drill just as the rain starts up.
In spite of the rain, the corps continues on to learn the first part of the Stairway drill.
This year Lee has decided to join the pit and was given a refresher course for bells by our Romanian transplant Sara.
