It is with tremendous sadness that we share this news. On Friday, November 26, 2010, we lost a dear friend and brother, Rich Skare. As most of you know, Rich has been a steadfast member of the Renegades since 2001 playing Contrabass. Rich marched in the 80s and 90s as a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard and the Concord Blue Devils. Rich was also a member of Frontier Drum & Bugle Corps in 2008.
As fierce a competitor as he was, Rich was, deep down, an extremely caring individual who never failed to bring a smile to whomever he greeted no matter if he’d known you for years or had just met you.
Rich, you will be sorely missed by all whose lives you’ve touched. Rest in peace, Brother…..SE7EN.

From Rich’s parents Sylvia and Gordon:
We are currently working on a memorial service for Richard. We are awaiting the arrival of Rich’s brother Russell who will help to make Rich’s service very special and I’m sure that Russell will contact some of Rich’s friends to participate.
We have arranged for a beautiful array of flowers for Rich. We ask all of Richard’s friends and family to remember us through their thoughts and prayers in lieu of flowers, especially in these hard economic times.
We are planning a reception and are working on time and place (will be rsvp). We will continue to post updates as they develop. It brings us much joy to know Rich had so many friends and was so well liked.
Thank you all and we looking forward to meeting you and seeing again those that we have met before.
Sylvia and Gordon Skare
